Roger, this is a very interesting piece — I'm in full agreement. I've said in many of my talks that mass action on climate change may unfortunately require a massive climate-linked event affecting hundreds of millions of people before we see a more concerted global effort pushing aside geopolitics. We're behaving like the frog in the slow-to-boil pot: too focused on what's right in front of our faces every day (the exoteric) to reckon with the real, esoteric long-term threat to billions or potentially our very existence.
