I no longer go for fell walks. They are assignments. It drives my wife mad when she comes with me. There is now an agreed ‘cut off point’ at the end of long walks when all that we should be doing is getting off the fell. Instead of me saying “just one more” or “I can’t ignore light like that”. Obviously i usually find it impossible and get the shot anyway. I relate.
