My relationship with the Goddess started with a journal jumping off the shelf into my hand at a bookstore and refusing to go back. It had beautiful illustrations and descriptions of the Goddess from around the world with blank journal pages after each one. I started writing prayer poems to each Goddess and soon filled the pages with early conversations with Her. I'll never forget the knowing laughter of a the women in a circle I eventually joined when I told this story, describing my initial superficial curiosity and how unaware I was of the depth I had been invited to swim in.
