Great piece! Everything lines up perfectly, I just have one point of disagreement with Ruck: the identification of the amanita mushroom with Prometheus’ fire. Medusa’s head clearly was connected to the mushroom, but Prometheus’ fire is a different drug. It was carried from heaven on a stalk of “ammoniakon”, this is a reed that contains DMT.

I’ve heard the Sufis have preserved a tradition, where they brew the DMT reed together with Syrian rue (contains MAOI) and of course the DMT+MAOI combo is what the amazon tribes call Ayahuasca. Different plants being used here, but same chemical compounds. Haven’t been able to verify this info online anywhere, but heard from primary sources that it’s a well-kept secret of the Sufis. Have been able to find that they have a poetic tradition associated with playing the reed pipes & drinking Syrian rue tea, so it’s not hard to read between the lines & see it
