When you confess your sins with humility and love, the genuine guilt shines forth a beauty in the soul. It’s a strange paradox, but there is beauty in honesty, in repentance, and in confessing with our lips our own wrongs, all the while we who confess feel the ugliness of what’s been done and what requires absolution. Taking responsibility for our ugliness, through grace is transformed into something beautiful just as the cross was evil, until Christ sanctified it.
