I’m doing similar things for stay grounded. My first priority is to tend to myself, I’m not gonna let what’s happening in the world take my joy.

How I’m making it through:

📚fiction by Black female authors

🫖 warm beverages

🛏️ ample rest time

🎨 rotating visits to local art galleries, to find artists with something to say

🏡 making my home a place of comfort and peace

Finished Friends and Lovers by Eric Jerome Dickey and now listening to The Other Woman. I read both books years ago and now listening to them is a different experience. Eric Jerome Dickey books are 🤌🏽 and timeless.

Having to get 4 new tires 4 days into the new year is adulting at its finest. 😩
