Solvitur ambulando is an old Latin phrase I like. It means "It is solved by walking". For me this has often been true when to applied to life and to writing (which some might same are the same thing). The core of every one of my recent books is made up of thoughts I’ve had on long walks then managed to somehow trap and take home with me. If books could somehow be written entirely on long walks I reckon they’d be at least twice as good.
