Intelligence reports that Hezbollah commanders preparing to pull back thousands of active service Hezbollah and linked proxy Iranian Amal fighters to form buffer defense zone higher up country; leaving Palestinian linked groups fighters as rearguard action group to protect their organized tactical withdraw (Hezbollah emphasizing this is not a retreat). Hezbollah planned defense stripped bare with mass exodus of local Southern Lebanon areas civilians. Reports some Hezbollah local areas commanders not allowing all civilians to leave, to keep many locals as tactical human shields (virtual prisoners).

Reports of emergency requests for volunteer militia fighters to join the Hezbollah linked groups ranks to swell numbers of defenders against any IDF incursions.
