Just got attacked by a reader who said they liked my writing, but it’s wrong for me to accept entirely voluntary contributions from my readers and that needing money makes me a “hypocrite”!

Not sure if you realised, but writers get free rent, free transport, free groceries, free clothes and free utilities, and therefore we don’t actually need money to live. Therefore, it’s only reasonable we work for free, unlike every other person on earth who gets paid for the work they do x
