Make money doing the work you believe in

I like teaching them.

I’ve taught them for decades.

I like their work ethic.

I’m inspired by the kind, respectful, positive vibe I’ve experienced again and again and again from people who’ve lived through war and all kinds of truly serious hardships and are profoundly grateful to be here.

I like witnessing the eagerness of a room full of immigrants to connect through our shared humanity.

I like the appreciation, respect, & gratitude I’ve always, always, always been given by them.

I like helping them learn about American culture, which they are eager to do.

I’m honored to guide them through the transformation that is speaking a second language, English, clearly and expressively.

I like seeing how hard they work because they care deeply about making themselves understood so they can fit in at work & socially.

I like the idea of giving a big time out to the insanely rich, greedy, abusive, narcissistic, power-hungry, ultimately frightened (have I forgotten any adjectives?) white males (maybe prison on Epstein’s island?) who’ve been in charge.

Maybe let the ESL teachers be in charge? 🤔It’s not that hard for us to get people from a dozen countries in one room connecting, communicating, getting along & being productive.

I don’t think I’m the only one tired of all the fighting & nonsense out there ….

….just sayin’ 🤷‍♀️
