I feel like the command to “not be negative” and “focus on solutions, not problems” is a big driver behind this. We absolutely need friction and we need negative feedback. We should remember that another name for unchecked growth is ‘cancer’
The endless quest to remove friction everywhere comes at a long-term cost. Nobody appreciates friction in the moment, but it sometimes serves an importance purpose in slowing us down.
