So I recently got my hands on Haruki Murakami's new novel The City and Its Uncertain Walls! This is when reading Japanese comes in handy, however slowly–I'm now up to 7% in the ebook.

Verdict so far: It reads like a typical Murakami novel. There's not only the usual weird stuff but also sexual weird stuff which I found a little icky but for all I know, it might just be that one scene. What I like about Murakami though is the hazy, almost natural brand of loneliness that shines through in his writing so I'm not quite ready to give up on this book yet…

Any Murakami fans around? And what is everyone else currently reading?
