I work from my home in Southern Oregon and when I quit smoking last year I also stopped taking breaks from work. What was the point of a break if I couldn't smoke? It would just make me wish I could. But eventually I realized I still very much needed mid-day time away from the screen to just be and breathe and see, and wouldn't it be nice to have a beautiful little outdoor space to do that in. So I turned a corner of my backyard into a frog pond and tiny creature sanctuary, which I just finished a few weeks ago. I call it Pollywog Acres. Yesterday I welcomed the 2nd frog in 3 days to somehow find its way here. Today I watched him hop around the floating plants while I drank my coffee, wondering about the adventure he must have gone on to find this spot that I built for us. And now once again I look forward to break time. :)
