I wouldn’t be a writer today without public libraries. There’s no way. I owe a debt to public libraries that I can only repay by ensuring the next generation has unfettered access to them. My tax dollars going to public libraries is arguably the best investment I can make with that money.

I used to think like this until I published my first book. The fact that I am paying taxes to give my hard work away for free is almost perverse. Almost.
