Yes. I think almost any other mainstream Dem could win against Trump. Less baggage, more energy, younger. If Biden loses (and I think he will) it will be because young people, pro Palestinian voters and progressives sit this election out. Give us someone we could support and we will support them. No one but MAGA morons will vote for Trump, but there are enough of them to elect him if other voters stay home.

With all due respect, why is this the conclusion now? Unfortunately it’s hard to remain open to perspectives from those who supported Biden a few months ago .. if heads were in the sand up until last night, what other compartmentalizing is going on?

I disagree. I think it’s a virtual certainty that Biden will lose to Trump, in no small part because of his unconditional support of Israel and its genocide. He has lost Michigan for sure. Another candidate—Newsome?—wont have that baggage at least. Biden needs to drop out. Democrats will support ANYONE running against Trump, but young people, Muslims, activists, progressives and more will not vote for Biden, especially now.
