All about The Pedal To Minto Challenge

If you live in the Salem area, chances are that you know and love Minto Island Growers Farm Stand. The fresh food (that PIZZA?!), the cold beers, the excellent people, and those views? What’s not to love?

Did you know that Minto Island Growers is only a mere 5 miles from the Bike Peddler in downtown Salem? Not only that, but you can cover most of that ground on protected bike/pedestrian paths through Riverfront Park and Minto Brown Island Park.

So, this month, Bike Peddler and Minto Island Growers are teaming up to offer you a challenge: PEDAL TO MINTO!

During the month of July, when you ride from Bike Peddler to Minto Island Growers and log your ride, you’ll be eligible to win a sweet raffle prize! Here’s the full breakdown:

Step 1: Ride your bike! Start from the bike shop (or, better yet, ride from home and swing by the shop on the way). If you’re not sure how to reach MIG from downtown Salem, we’ve got some downloadable/printable routes ready to go here: tinyurl.com/BPRideWithG…

Step 2: Enjoy the farm!

Step 3: Log your ride in this form: tinyurl.com/pedal2minto

You’ll earn one raffle entry just by logging your ride, but there are a few ways to earn additional entries:

Making a purchase at the Bike Peddler
Making a purchase at Minto Island Growers and/or the Farm Stand
Posting about your ride on social media and tagging both Bike Peddler (@bikepeddlersalem) and Minto Island Growers (@mintogrowers)

The entry form will be open until August 1, when the winner of the raffle will be announced. If you choose to visit the farm more than once, you can log multiple rides to earn additional entries.

And, my friends, I have not forgotten the prizes. Whichever lucky duck wins the raffle will be taking home a Minto Island Growers gift card and swag bag, plus us a Bike Peddler gift card and swag bag. If I wasn’t organizing the thing you know I’d be all over this, trying to win that sweet, sweet prize.
