2023 Miami Dolphins Outlook (5/8)

The Dolphins’ offense has explosive upside, but it all starts with the health and an entire season of games for Tua Tagovailoa. In the first run of the projections, I gave him 80% of the snaps, leaving some wiggle room for an injury. His ceiling could be more than 5,000 yards passing, but Miami needs another receiver to become a factor in the passing game. Their tight ends (47/491/6) had a weaker opportunity in 2022, pointing to a glaring weakness this year unless incoming rookie Elijah Higgins transitions to TE with success or contributes more as their WR3 or WR4.

After a career season by Raheem Mostert, I question his ability to stay healthy. Devon Achane will provide the speed skill set at running back for Miami if he has an issue. I listed Jeff Wilson as the Dolphins’ RB1 in the first run of the projections.

As expected, Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle project as impact players.
