2023 Indianapolis Colts Outlook (5/29)
I gave Anthony Richardson 75% of the quarterback stats in the first run of the Colts' projections. I expect him to watch from the sidelines in September, but I will upgrade his outlook when receiving coach-speak news out of their training camp this summer.
The running back opportunity remains in the hands of Jonathan Taylor. Based on Richardson seeing the bulk of snaps behind center, I had to taper down the receiving expectations at RB, WR, and TE.
I’d love to give Josh Downs more chances out of the gate, but he appears to be in a almost a dead heat with Alec Pierce for the WR2 opportunity for the Colts. The tight end split for catches will be the flavor of the week between four options. I left Mo Alie-Cox out of the mix for now.
