I called my dad at 7:20 this morning to wish him a happy birthday, knowing he had probably been up for an hour by then. Reading his Bible, no doubt. As we were chatting he told me about his recent bike ride around the lake, facing 29mph winds. He’s 77, and has one more year of Bible college.

Pray, then, in this way:

'Our Father who is in heaven, Hallowed be Your name.

Your kingdom come. Your will be done, On earth as it is in heaven.

Give us this day our daily bread.

And forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors.

And do not lead us into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one.

For Yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever.’
