We spent April of 2022 living in the Athens, Greece, neighborhood of Exarcheia, also known as the "Anarchist's Quarter."

What I remember most about Exarcheia are the incredibly sweet smell of orange blossoms and the almost unimaginable amount of street art and graffiti covering almost every inch of public space.

I already loved street art, but I'd say it was in Exarcheia where for the first -- and probably only time -- I came to appreciate what graffiti could bring to a place.
