This paper is a fascinating read, if you like mathematics and physics. It proposes a law describing the evolution of the information entropy of an isolated system, analog to the second law of thermodynamics. Then it considers the applicability of this law to topics as diverse as electronic states in an atom (Hund's rule), cosmology, symmetries found in nature, and DNA/RNA sequences.
I don't think this paper has been peer reviewed yet, but still a fun read and excited idea!
