I live in an extremely blue district in a red state and I was sweating on November 5 until it was confirmed that the Republicans had kept the governorship. Unfortunately I've got loathsome Congressional representation of the Democratic sort.

It was a relief to me that the candidate for governor was someone I could support in good conscience since I was already whoring out my integrity for the sake of the nation and to have to do that for the sake of my now-state as well would've been a grim challenge to the purity of my dainties. But I continue to feel all sparkly since the election though every instance of our city government's idiocy is of course bad for my temper.
