and of course now that I'm over 50 and in perimenopause I think, "who the fuck cares if they judge me??? that's their problem, not mine."

The most helpful thing a friend said to me during my separation: “I want you to know I’m not pulling for any particular outcome, I’m pulling for you.”

It raised my bar for what support could look like and helped me (to quote Aundi Kolber) “be on my own damn team.”

Naoshima island in Japan is an incredible art destination! The one artwork there that was an experience I will always remember was viewing James Turrell's Open Sky. There are several installations of Open Sky in the world, and I've had the wild privilege of seeing it before. But there was something absolutely magical about doing it on Naoshima. The island is small with few cars and taxis. We biked to the art museum to watch Open Sky at sunset, and then biked back to our hotel at night when the …

Well this question took me immediately to the 1990's Impressionist Gallery at the MFA in Boston. I took my then 11 year old to see it. We both recall with pleasure Renoir's Dance at Bougival which is part of the permanent collection.

I also want to bring forth The Bayeux Tapestry which I saw in Normandy in early 90's. The history that is recorded is well-known and is as controversial as it is reverent. But for me the work of art was stunning. A very (very) amateur stitcher, I had such awe for th…

The Portrait of Adele Block-Bauer, also known as The Woman in Gold, by Gustav Klimt.

It's on display at the Neue Galerie in NYC, and when I saw it for the first time, I just started crying and I could not stop. I had seen pictures of it and the movie and knew the story, but seeing it in person was 10000000 times better. No photo can really show the intensity of the gold leaf. It is perfect and I love her so much. I visit every time I'm in New York, just a quick stop, and it's still the most beautiful thing I've ever seen in my life.

When I was in middle/high school my family kept milk goats, because we were all (except my mom) allergic to cow's milk. So I know for a fact, A FACT, that unpasteurized milk goes bad SO FUCKING FAST. Yes, it tastes great! Drink it right out of the goat, it's incredible! But if you want to hold on to it more than a day, you won't, unless you pasteurize it. Fight me, raw-milk-heads.

This whole thing is so weird. Surely it was just yesterday that I was a monster for feeding my child whole cow's milk instead of oat milk.

This was wonderful. Let me just say that I ❤️ Walt Disney World (WDW, obvi), but like am completely aware of how insane it all is. I know enough to know that I know nothing and so have waited until we could afford to financially outsource that shit and use a travel agent whose literal job is to translate all that bull shit for me and wake up at 4 in the morning to make my reservations 2 months in advance. IT’S A SCAM. And I also love it 🤣 But I will die on the hill of we do NOT have to optimiz…
