As a matter of international policy, Pelosi should make the TWN trip. It's hard to assess what Xi might feel compelled to do at this stage in his ascendency. With my minimal insight into just how sharp the wolf warriors teeth have gotten, I can't see Xi ordering an incident to block or disrupt Pelosi's visit. We'll certainly hear a lot of bellicose messaging about US hegemonic behavior.
