I agree with much of what you say. I don’t know if BTC will ever be a practical alternative as a currency because of its unstable pricing. If it actually did start to compete with USD in terms of people transacting in BTC, the FED and US Government would move to squash it and make it illegal, as they did with gold. And they could do that because as you said, there’s no anonymity.
