Don't worry, Cindy. You're not alone. My previously astute and intelligent spouse has changed in exactly the same way. I understand the disconnect. Completely closed off to questioning beyond the accepted narrative. And equally bought into the fear+solution pablum. There's nothing that can be done, but simply to accept the loss.
