Perhaps you will want to consider a Kawasaki KLR. Some call it “the Apocalypse Bike”. Dual sport. Good on highways, good on dirt. Only one design change in 44 years of production and many of them out there, so you can buy two or three of the same generation and cannibalize them for parts.
