When people don't stand up to bad leadership, it's rarely because they don't care. It's often because they feel powerless.

Learned helplessness is the debilitating pattern of giving up when we learn that events in our lives are beyond our control.

The answer is not to accept defeat. The best antidote to apathy is action.

Great read! I definitely think the attitude around GLP-1s is changing. I worked with a client that had battled weight issues forever and he worked his ass off and lost a few pounds tracking meals and dialing up his activity/resistance work but his results never seemed commensurate with his effort. When he got on GLP-1s it was life changing and validating.

In hard times, people don't want to be told to look on the bright side. They want to know you're on their side.

Even if you can't help them feel better, you can always help them feel seen.

The best way to support others is not to cheer them up. It's to show up.
