The Fed’s new quarterly Senior Loan Officer Opinion Survey says lending standards have become tighter. federalreserve.gov/data…
On one hand, tighter lending standards may have been exacerbated by recent turmoil in the banking system. On the other hand, it may also just be a continuation of what the Federal Reserve was aiming for with tighter monetary policy. “Tighter” has the same meaning in both of these sentences.
