Japan, Korea, most SEA countries (including Singapore), and most of our European allies all welcomed a strong China policy. The success of the 'No Huawei' campaign, support for SCS freedom of navigation, allied pushback (at least verbal) on HK and Xinjiang, ramping up of foreign investment regimes following FIRRMA, rising denunciation of Chinese sharp power, and a growing consensus in the EU to generally push back against the CCP all happened during the Trump Administration.
Trump personally was the issue for most (if not all). The China policy was generally well received.
