My first encounter with Israelis was when I was backpacking through South America in my twenties, and I remember being shocked by how consistently awful they all were. I have survived the genocide in Gaza, but my heart remains buried beneath the rubble. To endure this devastation is to carry a grief so vast, that I almost wish I hadn’t. Some wounds are too deep for survival to heal.
