Living vicariously thru M&D
Replying to

As a white person (71 years old) watching the halftime show I felt relief! That it was a bold drum beat of resistance and creativity! I don’t need or want white people to always be in the limelight. I need and want a reflection of our country represented! And I was so wonderfully shocked that Uncle Sam was a black man!! I thought it was a brilliant piece of resistance art! Here’s a companion video to go with my poem, “Cohabitational Forces.”

Ugh! I couldn’t take the Fetus-In-Utero photo another minute. I originally chose it to accompany my poem, Kindling, a very short meditation on what it might have been like to be gestational and “trapped” inside my mother’s body. Much happier with the vibe of “Floating Moon,” its replacement. Time for me to turn more often to my own collages and photos as much as possible to complement my writing.
