I feel like this is a misunderstanding of the issue -- the reason the Dahl estate wants to retroactively edit the books is precisely because they are afraid people will opt for the “just don’t buy the book” solution.

They’re in the business of selling books, not of defending intellectual principles or aesthetic integrity.
