I understand Arendt now in a way I never did before. Crises don’t arrive all at once—they creep in through compromise, cowardice, and institutional rot. The banality of evil isn’t just bureaucrats rubber-stamping horror; it’s leaders treating an active coup like a scheduling conflict.
