DEMOCRAT CONGRESSWOMAN CALLS FOR BLACK PEOPLE TO BE EXEMPT FROM PAYING TAXES AS  A FORM OF REPARATIONS

“Jasmine Crockett (D-TX) argued that reparations in some form are necessary. ‘So many black folk, not only do you owe for the labor that was stolen and killed and all the other things, but the fact is we end up being so far behind.’”

The human debt for the atrocity of slavery in the United States was paid with the lives and blood of 620,000-plus people. Demanding anything more is the ultimate act of opportunistic selfishness and ignorance.

Further, any forced (read: legislated and codified) reparations to Black people don’t take into account that all Black people are not descendants of slaves.

Lastly, forced reparations ignore those who came to the United States under indentured servitude, i.e., the Germans, Swiss, English, and Irish, and later the Italians and Poles. Each of these demographics saw large numbers of immigrants brought to the US as indentured servants, forced to work for low wages – if any – to pay off their passage to the new world for themselves and their families. Most never lived to see their freedom.

Crockett and those who continually thump the divisive rhetoric of “reparations” for the Black community fail to address these points whenever they try to advance their cause and, therefore, expose their ignorance and their opportunistic intent.

Consequently, Crockett’s proposal is unconstitutional because it treats people differently when it comes to taxation. This is forbidden by the 16th Amendment. So the people of Texas' 30th congressional district have elected a constitutional illiterate and a race-baiting jackass!
