Brent Regan’s article explains that Kamala Harris’ parents were not American citizens and had not officially expressed an intent to become American citizens. So constitutionally, Harris is NOT eligible to be US President.

“No Person except a natural born Citizen, or a Citizen of the United States, at the time of the adoption of this Constitution, shall be eligible to the Office of President; neither shall any Person be eligible to that office who shall not have attained to the age of thirty five Years, and have been fourteen Years a Resident within the United States.” The Constitution of the United States, Section I of Article II

Regan states: The status of “natural born citizen” can ONLY be obtained by having parents (at least one) who are citizens. No law can change the circumstances of your birth.

When Kamala was born, both parents were foreign nationals — NOT citizens (father Jamaican, mother Indian). When applying to be foreign exchange students, each parent signed a sworn statement pledging to return to their home county at the end of their student visas.

So while Kamala Harris is a “Naturalized” United States citizen by virtue of the 14th Amendment, she is NOT a “Natural Born Citizen.”

Thus, Regan explains, Kamala Harris does not meet the requirements to be President.
