Sometimes I fantasize about disappearing.

Not dying.

Just logging off.

Getting a job no one cares about.

Growing tomatoes.

Writing poems in the margins of a notebook no one reads.

Not as a failure.

But as a kind of freedom.

It's hard to think of an action more damaging to American greatness, or insulting to American freedom, than cutting off cancer research to punish a university for failing to align politically with the current government.

(What feels like an) unpopular opinion: There is so much more to aging than weighted vests, magnesium, and a hundred grams of protein.

There is contentment in finally realizing who (and what) brings you peace. There is bravery in being okay with walking away from what no longer serves you. There is the acknowledgement that we bring enough to the table, just as we are - No faking or forcing required.

The weighted vest? Sure, it’s beneficial. But there is no vest heavy enough to compare to the weight (and worth) of mental peace.

Stop clinging to the broken version of the person you love.

You weren’t called to fix them.

You were called to trust the God who can.

You don’t have to carry their healing. You just have to stop standing in the way of it.

America cannot long remain free, nor first among nations, if it becomes the kind of place where universities are dismantled because they don't align politically with the current head of the government.

Lissen,

As an adoptee I've had to learn that one's worth is not a currency to be bartered for belonging.

You are not on Earth to be everybody’s savior, secretary, sounding board, therapist, mama, mule, or messiah.

You are not a bottomless well of “strength” for people to sip from when they’re thirsty and then walk away when they’re full. Your worth is not in your labor, your silence, your forgiveness, your caretaking, your ability to bend without breaking, or your capacity to carry what no one …

AND Magazine: The Arsonists – Kamala Helped Joe Burn America To The Ground And Now She Wants More Matches. By Sam Faddis (08/30/24)

When asked what she will do on “Day One” in the White House, Harris responded:

“Well, there are a number of things. I will tell you, first and foremost, one of my highest priorities is to do what we can to support and strengthen the middle class.”

Mr. Faddis provides a brutally honest expose of how everything Kamala Harris says she will do is in stark contrast to what she and Biden have done over the past three-plus years.

The statistics Faddis provides illustrate how Biden-Harris policies have caused widespread destruction. Here are a few:

  • A record number of working Americans are living in their cars because they cannot afford to rent, much less buy, their own homes.

  • During the Biden-Harris administration, inflation is up roughly 20%. Under Trump, inflation was up 8%.

  • Mortgage interest rates when Trump left office were 2.9%. Today mortgage interest rates are roughly 7%.

  • Now 78% of Americans live paycheck to paycheck.

  • Now 21% of Americans have no emergency funds, 37% couldn’t afford an emergency expense over $400.

  • Fast food restaurants and retailers are going out of business because Americans can no longer afford them.

  • Household debt is at an all-time high.

Faddis concludes with this:

The quality of life of all Americans is being destroyed. Biden and Harris are burning the economy to the ground. And, now, Kamala wants more matches.
