Next, Canadian organization Charter of Health Freedom seeks to protect the right to access natural health products by putting them into a distinct legal category. Constitutional lawyer Shawn Buckley discusses with Carolyn Betts the deleterious implications of current Canadian law, which classifies and regulates natural health products as drugs (making them expensive to develop, test, market, and buy).

The Canadian law has dire implications for the United States, which also is trying to classify and regulate natural health products as drugs. Where health goes in Canada, the United States soon follows.
