Senator Lenney’s opening paragraph sets the stage for an excellent article describing the problems with and solutions needed to deter illegal immigration in Idaho:
Illegal immigration poses a significant threat to the sovereignty, security, and fiscal health of the United States—and Idaho is no exception. As a state that values tradition, law, and order, Idaho must take decisive action to deter illegal immigration and protect its future.

Idaho must not provide any taxpayer support for illegal immigration. This includes food, shelter, education, welfare, and medical care.
The only funding provided should be law enforcement along with true emergency medical services to save a life, a one-way bus ticket home, or a jail cell for those who commit crimes in addition to their illegal presence in the state.
Also, the Idaho Legislature should avoid choosing House or Senate leadership or committee heads who do not support the ideals posed in Sen. Lenney's article (see Substack links at substack.com/@bige47/no…, eolson47.substack.com/i…).Closing Thoughts…
This isn't about xenophobia, skin pigmentation, or intolerance…
This is about preserving the rule of law, protecting our communities, and ensuring the future prosperity of Idaho.
By making it exceedingly difficult for illegal immigrants to live and function in our state, and by imposing heavy consequences on those who enable them, we send a clear message: Idaho stands for law and order.
If the federal government refuses to enforce immigration laws, then Idaho must take matters into its own hands. Our state's sovereignty, security, and prosperity depend on it.
