Important Association of American Physicians & Surgeons (AAPS) Recent Lawsuits and Newsletter (posted 10/30/24)

The Association of American Physicians and Surgeons – AAPS – is a non-partisan professional association of physicians in all types of practices and specialties across the country. AAPS has been protecting medical freedom since 1943 through education and legal actions.

Here are two recent examples of important litigation they’re involved with to protect everyone’s medical and personal freedom.

Expanded Lawsuit Against the Biden Administration and Specialty Boards

Federal lawsuit against the Biden Administration and board-certifying organizations that threatened to, and sometimes have, revoked board certifications of physicians based on their outspokenness on matters of public policy.

Lawsuit to Block Expansion of the Federal Police State

The Corporate Transparency Act (CTA) snuck in a new reporting requirement on more than 30 million entities including small businesses, sports clubs, civic groups, and political organizations and tens of millions of law abiding Americans to report home addresses, birthdates, and driver’s license or similar personal identifying numbers to the federal Financial Crimes Enforcement Network (“FinCEN”). AAPS is suing to block this requirement, which goes into effect Jan 1, 2025. Threatened punishment for failure to comply? Two years in federal jail!
