Many in Idaho and around the country have been following the case of Baby Cyrus, Cyrus’ parents Levi and Marissa Anderson, Cyrus’s grandfather Diego Rodriguez, and family friend Ammon Bundy in their struggles with St. Luke’s Hospital (Boise), their lawyers, and courts in several locations.

Ammon Bundy’s case has been the longest saga. In a nutshell: St. Luke’s sued Ammon Bundy for $52 million after he and thousands of others stood up to defend a medically kidnapped baby while Bundy was running for Governor of Idaho. Over several years, Bundy lost all his property and possessions, was forced to declare bankruptcy and leave Idaho, and more.

During bankruptcy proceedings, Bundy asked that he and his family be allowed to keep a modest amount of cash ($4K), clothes, his tools, and a few incidentals. The court (Judge Thurman) determined that Bundy will not be allowed to keep anything in the bankruptcy, not even the family’s clothing. Additionally, St. Luke’s filed a motion asking the court to stop Bundy from going bankrupt. A hearing on the motion is set for January 13, 2025.
