Idaho Sen. Brian Lenney Exits Idaho Freedom Caucus; Others Join Caucus as Legal Action Possible Against Group’s Leaders. By Greg Pruett (12/09/24)

Sen. Brian Lenney (R-Nampa) has resigned from the Idaho Freedom Caucus (IDFC). Lenney said he wants to ensure his time as a lawmaker, husband, and father will be clear of distractions.

IDFC recently announced several new members and still has a potential legal dispute with the Washington, DC based State Freedom Caucus Network (SFCN) over the SFCN logo and the Idaho Freedom Caucus name.

New Idaho Freedom Caucus Members (all freshman legislators):

  • Rep. Steve Tanner (R – Nampa)

  • Rep. Cornel Rasor (R – Sagle)

  • Rep. Kyle Harris (R – Lewiston)

  • Rep. Bob Beiswenger (R – Horseshoe Bend)

Idaho Freedom Caucus Members facing potential legal action:

  • Rep. Heather Scott (R – Blanchard) – Co-Chair

  • Sen. Tammy Nichols (R – Middleton) – Co-Chair

  • Rep. Elaine Price (R – Coeur d’Alene) – Secretary/Treasurer

  • Rep. Dale Hawkins (R- Fernwood)

ED NOTE
Given his high Idaho Freedom Foundation Index rankings, we certainly want Sen. Lenney to remain focused on his work and family:
