Dr. Stillwagon begins:

The concept of immunity is often oversimplified, equating the presence of serum antibodies that are INSIDE of you with protection against infection.

This protection is impossible as those serum antibodies cannot stop something from coming through the epithelial barrier from the OUTSIDE, only react to it when it does.

Finding and measuring antigen specific serum antibodies inside a person only indicates previous exposure to that antigen or virus.

Serum antibodies can enable quicker responses to subsequent infections, but they do NOT guarantee protection.

In fact, some people who were vaccinated against the measles, and had a measured antibody response, got symptomatic measles when later exposed.

He explains further:

Serum antibody levels naturally wane over time. This renders them undetectable despite having a prior infection, even though that person may have long lasting immunity.

Therefore, whether you have detectable serum antibodies or not does NOT correlate with immunity.

He then gets into the weeds, stating:

So, a more comprehensive approach to assessing immunity involves measuring mucosal IgA antibodies and cytotoxic T-cell reactions, where protections against infection truly exist.

Finally, he puts the science into the context of measles and the measles vaccine. Key points:

  • Measles vaccination induces internal serum antibodies only.

  • People sometimes get injected but do not get an antibody response because the numbers and potencies of viral particles vary from batch to batch. (By law, the number of viable particles in each shot can vary as much as TEN-FOLD.)

  • Measles shot contains weakened or attenuated whole measles viruses. But there’s no way to know potency or quantities of viruses in the shot. (Vaccine manufacturers admit this.)

  • Some recipients get full blown cases of measles, and some won't get any immune response.

  • Injected children can get exposed to natural measles virus, can become infected, and can spread it to others.

  • As long as we keep injecting measles virus into children, measles will not be eradicated and it can shed from the vaccinated child to others, vaccinated or not.

Measles vaccination is another failed medical experiment performed on millions of children.

Not mentioned in Dr. Stillwagon’s article is that generations now have received measles shots, which offer no lasting natural immunity, and no herd immunity. Today, measles can be dangerous to newborns, because they don’t receive natural immunity through Mom’s milk or immune system — unlike yesteryear when Moms took kids to measles parties so all could become immune to a relatively mild childhood disease.

Weaning the nation off measles shots in necessary but must be done carefully. See References.
