I think India already has surpassed China and that the real number is less than 1.28 billion. I don't think it matters that much in the short term, Xi used 1.4 billion in his speeches and the official number will stay that until he is gone. No one will touch that number. That China will have to get used to low growth, the people used to higher tax and lower wages is a given to me.
