It seems like there isn’t going to be a singular Twitter replacement, but its replacements instead kinda look more like beefed-up mega group chats. I’m impressed by how many co-exist right now.

Alternatives that my peer circles are using:

• Mastodon = I saw someone describe this as “the types of people in the US who always threaten to move to Canada” and I’m not sure I could describe it more perfectly

• Farcaster = crypto

• Bluesky = postrats

• Notes = writers (?)

Now I want a group chat aggregator that allows me to read all of these feeds in one place! (With Farcaster and Bluesky at least, I think this could actually be feasible?)
