One of the worse traits of human beings, especially when it comes to politics, is an inability to look at their own side objectively. So, what happens is that anything the other side does, even if it is good, was probably done for evil or least cynical reasons. Whatever their own side does they must be doing it for good reasons, at least trust that is the case, give them time. But you should never do that with politicians.
