Hi! I'm Katie Stack, a teacher turned illustrator. I have illustrated 4 books, and I write a weekly newsletter to share tips with other artists. It's great to have you here!

Such a fun prompt! What word would you illustrate?

This book looks so handy!

Sometimes I get stuck choosing colours and end up with the same familiar palette - this book makes it fun to explore other combinations and find the one that expresses the right mood

Wow nearly at 1,000 subscribers!! It’s been so amazing to travel on this art journey alongside all of you! Thank you for being here!! 🥰

I can’t tell you how cool it is to see all the incredible work coming out of yesterday’s Art Gym!! I mean look at these textures by

😍😍😍 Gorgeous!

This month’s Art Gym we experimented with different textures and materials we didn’t tend to use. Here’s the few I grabbed:

I know I said to pick 3-4 materials for Art Gym today… but I couldn’t decide, so I snuck in a 5th. (It blends into my desk, so it doesn’t really count, right?)

What are you drawing with today? Whether you’re joining Art Gym or just making art, I’d love to see your materials! ✏️

Art Gym is tomorrow! Get ready by gathering 3-4 art materials or digital brushes—we’ll be building a Texture Library together during the workshop.

I’m about to go pick my materials now—can’t wait to see what you bring! 😍
