Join us online on Saturday, March 23rd from 10am–12:30pm Pacific for Drawing Tiny People: Sketch Figures Quickly and Confidently with Nishant Jain!
Nishant’s unique style of sketching people on location is a delightful way to connect to the urban landscape and the people around us. In this workshop, Nishant will share his method for sketching his iconic tiny people by breaking down the process into actionable steps. Nishant will help you build confidence in drawing people on location and quickly capturing your surroundings. Grab a pencil and get ready to cover the basics of drawing people with confidence while building an enriching sketchbook habit along the way!
When you register for a workshop, you will be invited to join the Art Toolkit Learning Community, where you can share your work and connect with other students.
In addition to the community space, each workshop has a dedicated area where you can post and read information specific to the workshop, and download supplemental materials such as reference images.
Our lessons are live streamed, which means you’ll need a computer or mobile device with access to the internet. If you’re not able to attend the live lesson, don’t worry! We send a link to a recording to all students, which will remain online for at least six months.
All Art Toolkit Workshops are listed in Pacific Time, so please double-check the start time and adjust for your timezone as necessary.
You are free to use the pen or pencil of your choice. Nishant uses Sakura Micron 0.5 and 1.0 pens, a Lamy Safari (fine nib), Kaweco Sport (M nib), and Platinum Carbon Black and Herbin Gris Nuage inks.
Any kind of sketchbook or loose paper will work for this workshop. Nishant uses Arches Hot Press (8x10"), and prefers sketchbooks by Stillman & Birn, Moleskine, and Handbook Paper Company.
