Furry Friday: Get in on Mutt Madness!
You can pick a winner at the Tallahassee Animal Service Center this weekend!
TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) - There are dozens of dogs hoping you’ll bet on them during March Madness!
WCTV and the Tallahassee Animal Service Center collaborate each week for Furry Friday! It’s designed to get dogs awaiting adoption out of their kennels and into the spotlight in hopes of helping them find their fur-ever homes.
Here’s the dogs in our bracket this week:
MEET ALUCARD!
Meet Alucard.
You can call him Al.
This little fella is next level fun! Happy go lucky doesn’t seem to cover it.
Al gets overcome with joy. He’d love to bound into your arms and maybe spin around a few times the minute you walk through the front door!
Al is a Boston Terrier mix who bounces around. He loves chasing birds and squirrels and sniffing out acorns, sticks and other sources of instant entertainment.
He’s the perfect size - and perhaps the perfect dog for you! Visit Alucard at the shelter this weekend!
MEET DELILAH!
Meet Delilah.
This spunky sweetie brought one of her favorite toys along for her photo shoot this week!
Delilah is happiest when she’s playing with toys and stuffed animals and she has the smile lines to prove it!
She loves stepping into her harness, going bird watching and soaking up all the sights, sounds and smells of the great outdoors.
It’s hard to fathom, but Delilah has been in the shelter longer than any other dog - nearly five months - and she is SO ready to find a fur-ever family!
Delilah is dreaming of her very own backyard, room to tag along on car rides and the chance to enjoy all a dog’s life has to offer! Visit her at the shelter this weekend!
MEET MEECH!
Meet Meech.
This easy-going guy thought our camera was the Tucker Center Kiss Cam! He showered our camera with kisses over and over again.
Meech took us on a spring stroll, soaking it all in, a brief run in the woods, a leisurely lap around the dirt bike track and he nearly fell over when we found just the right spot to scratch his neck.
Meech is ready for a laid back life and a laid back family to share it with. Visit Meech at the shelter this weekend!
MEET ROYALTY!
Meet Royalty.
This beauty with the black coat and white boots is all her name implies. She is calm, dignified and velvety soft.
Royalty enjoys a head scratch, an ear scratch, and an endless supply of high-end treats.
Royalty is ready to wow you with her eyes - one is piercing blue and the other is deep brown.
Royalty is kid-friendly, active and affectionate and would love to be the new addition to your royal family.
Visit Royalty at the shelter this weekend!
MEET AND GREET
You can meet these dogs and dozens more awaiting adoption at the Tallahassee Animal Service Center. It’s located across from Tom Brown Park at 1125 Easterwood Drive in Tallahassee.
People can walk through the kennels Wednesday through Sunday from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. People can also visit by appointment the rest of the week from 10 a.m. until 6 p.m.
