ISTANBUL -- The modern gateway to this ancient city has a new nickname these days: Istanbul Hairport.

Turkey's weak exchange rate and medical expertise are increasingly drawing foreign seekers of hair transplants, with Japanese the latest nationality to take advantage of bargain prices for the procedure.
